Architectural scale means pieces built beyond our standard size run — specimens from 8 ft up past 15 ft, made to order rather than picked off a shelf. This page collects the willow, banyan, cherry blossom, olive, palm, pine and cypress trees we build for hotel atriums, mall concourses, restaurant dining rooms and event installs, in fiberglass-trunk and real-wood-trunk finishes, some with integrated LED lighting. Because every piece here is sized and finished to a specific site, we quote it individually rather than list it at a fixed price.

What counts as architectural scale?

Anything at the top of our height range, generally 8 to 10 ft and up, plus anything we build to a non-standard height, canopy width or trunk finish rather than select from stock variants. A 15 ft-plus tree is the clearest example, but a made-to-order 4 m olive with a specific planter or a natural-bark cherry blossom sized to a particular ceiling height also falls here. If a product's variant list already covers the height and finish you need, buy it directly — this quote process is for pieces that don't fit a standard listing.

How does the quote process work?

Share the dimensions you're working with — ceiling height, doorway or freight-elevator clearance, and the footprint the piece needs to clear — along with your site access and timeline. We come back with pricing for the piece and separately for freight, since large-format trees ship on pallets or in crates and the cost depends heavily on delivery address and access. There's no fixed minimum order; a single lobby specimen and a multi-piece hotel install both go through the same process.

Which species and trunk options are available?

The range spans olive, banyan and ficus, cherry blossom and sakura, willow, date and Washingtonia palm, pine and cypress, birch, maple, nandina, osmanthus and metasequoia, plus seasonal pieces like large-format Christmas trees. Trunk finish is a real choice at this scale: fiberglass trunks hold their shape outdoors and in high-traffic spaces, while real-wood-trunk pieces — available on select olive, banyan and willow specimens — read as more convincing up close where guests can touch or stand beside the trunk. Some olive and Christmas trees in this range are available with integrated LED lighting for retail and hospitality settings.

Indoor, outdoor, or somewhere in between?

Most pieces here are built for indoor placement or a covered outdoor space — a porte-cochère, covered patio or atrium roof — rather than fully exposed weather. A smaller number, mainly palms and cypress-family trees, are finished for open outdoor use. Tell us the site conditions when you request pricing, including whether the location is covered, so the quote reflects a specimen actually built for that exposure rather than one that only looks the part.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't there a price shown on these pieces?

Architectural-scale trees vary too much in height, trunk finish, planter and freight distance to price as a single SKU. Two 12 ft olive trees can differ in cost once one needs a natural-bark trunk and cross-country freight and the other doesn't. We price each request individually once we know the dimensions, finish and delivery address, then confirm before you commit to anything.

Can I buy a smaller version of one of these trees without a custom quote?

Often, yes. Many species shown here — olive, cherry blossom, banyan, palm and pine among them — are also sold as standard-height, standard-price products elsewhere on the site. Check Artificial Trees 8 to 10 ft or 10 to 15 ft for the closest in-stock heights before requesting a custom build.

Do these ship fully assembled?

Large-format trees typically ship with the trunk and main branch sections attached and the canopy foliage panels packed separately for final assembly on site, which keeps crate dimensions and freight cost down. We confirm exact packaging and what on-site assembly involves as part of the quote, since it varies by species and height.

Will these hold up in a hotel lobby or retail concourse with heavy foot traffic?

The species built at this scale — fiberglass-trunk willow, banyan, olive and palm in particular — are constructed for continuous public-space use rather than a residential corner, which is why they show up repeatedly across hotel, restaurant and retail projects in our range. That said, placement still matters: keep canopies clear of doorway swing and high-contact walkways, and ask about your specific piece's foliage density if the location sees unusually heavy traffic.

What information should I have ready before requesting a quote?

Ceiling height and any width constraint at the install location, doorway or freight-elevator dimensions along the delivery route, whether the space is indoor or covered outdoor, and your target delivery date. If you already know a preferred species or trunk finish, include that too — otherwise we can recommend one once we know the setting.
