How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?

Willow takes more unpacking work than any other artificial tree, because the trails arrive bundled and tangled together. Separate them strand by strand from the top down, then let them hang before you judge the shape. Rushed, a willow looks like a mop. Done properly it is the most convincing artificial tree there is at distance.

Can this go outside?

Yes, it is built for outdoor as well as indoor placement, which is unusual for a trailing tree. Outdoors the trails move in the slightest breeze, and that movement is most of the reason a willow works at all. Somewhere with a little air but not a wind tunnel is ideal.

How tall is it, really?

13 ft, which is 4 m. Height matters more here than on most trees, because the trails need vertical room to hang free - a willow with its branches pooling on the floor loses the shape completely. Four metres of tree wants a good four and a half metres of clearance above it.
