Artificial Boston fern in PE is a bushy faux fern with fine arching fronds, made in three sizes from 15 in to 35.5 in. UV and water resistant materials are what let it live outdoors. It suits balconies, patios, entryways, offices, hotels and retail displays, in planters or grouped together.

How tall is it, really?

Three sizes: 15 in (38 cm), 23.6 in (60 cm) and 35.5 in (90 cm), with two different forms offered at 90 cm. A fern spreads about as far as it stands, so the 90 cm version is a substantial plant that will fill a large planter on its own without anything else in it.

Can this go outside?

Yes, and it is one of the few things in this range genuinely built for it. PE with UV and water resistance handles rain and bright light, which is what a balcony rail planter or an unshaded patio delivers all summer. Ferns are also the plant most people fail with outdoors, because a living Boston fern crisps the moment it dries out.

Where does this work best?

Spilling over an edge. Boston fern has a trailing habit, so it does its best work in a raised planter, on a plant stand, in a hanging basket or along the top of a balcony rail where the fronds can arch downwards. Sitting flat on the floor it loses most of its character.
