Costco Artificial Trees: Every US Price, Checked 13 October 2026
13 October 2026
Costco publishes two different prices for the same artificial tree, and most pages covering the category report only one of them. On 13 October 2026 the 7.5 ft pre-lit Radiant Micro LED tree, item 1739980, showed an online price of $549.99 and a warehouse price of $449.99 side by side on its own product page. Both figures are real. Neither is the whole answer. Below is every Costco US tree price we could read that day, what membership adds, what non-members pay, and where we fit. We sell artificial trees ourselves, so we have an interest here, and we have flagged our own products in the first person throughout.
The two prices, and why the gap matters
Costco lists an online price and, separately, a warehouse price under an "In-Warehouse" heading. The warehouse figure carries Costco's own caveat: "Item may be available in your local warehouse, prices may vary." We read ours with the warehouse set to Seattle and the delivery ZIP at 98101, so every warehouse price on this page is Seattle-resolved and may differ where you live. The online prices are national.
The gap is not small, and it runs the same direction every time. On 13 October 2026:
| Tree | Online price | Warehouse price (Seattle) | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7.5 ft Pre-Lit Glitter Flocked Micro LED (1784931) | $429.99 | $299.99 | $130 |
| 7.5 ft Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED with Twinkle (1739980) | $549.99 | $449.99 | $100 |
| 9 ft Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED (1785051) | $799.99 | $699.99 | $100 |
| Faux 6.5 ft Palm Tree (1752946) | $139.99 | $119.99 | $20 |
So anyone quoting "$449.99" flat is leaving out that it is a warehouse price that varies by warehouse, and anyone quoting "$549.99" as the only price is leaving out $100. If you can get to a warehouse and the tree is stocked there, that is the cheaper route by a clear margin.
There is a catch that cancels the advice for most of the year-round range. Ten of the fourteen year-round faux trees are flagged Online Only, which means there is no warehouse route to them at all and the online price is the only price.
Costco's year-round faux trees, every US price
Fourteen trees and topiaries, read 13 October 2026. None of these are lit.
| Tree | Item | Price (USD) | Height | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Faux Olive Tree | 1812703 | $379.99 | 8 ft | Online only |
| Faux Dracaena Tree | 1987570 | $199.99 | 6.5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Boxwood Topiary, UV resistant, indoor or outdoor | 1782966 | $199.99 | 4 ft | Delivery |
| Faux Schefflera Tree | 1695632 | $189.99 | 6.5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Topiary Olive Tree | 1987568 | $169.99 | 6.5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Black Olive Tree | 1862073 | $169.99 | 6.5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Palm Tree | 1752946 | $139.99 online, $119.99 warehouse | 6.5 ft | Both |
| Faux Ficus Tree | 1861926 | $139.99 | 6.5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Slim Fig Tree | 1987569 | $139.99 | 5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Spiral Boxwood Topiary, UV resistant | 2057505 | $109.99 | 5 ft | Online only |
| Faux Cedar Tree, UV resistant, 2-pack | 1646078 | $89.99 for two | 4 ft each | Online only |
| Faux Cedar Tree, UV resistant | 2057504 | $89.99 | 6 ft | Online only |
| Faux Spiral Boxwood Topiary, UV resistant | 1862031 | $79.99 | 4 ft | Delivery |
| Faux Tabletop Cedar Tree | 2004111 | $36.99 | 24 in | Online only |
"UV resistant" above is Costco's own wording in those product titles. We did not test any of these trees and we are not repeating it as a durability claim, only reporting how they are listed.
Two details on the 8 ft olive, the one most often quoted. It was $379.99 with shipping and handling included, carried 4.8 stars from 202 reviews, and its own product page listed it as indoor use only. There was no strikethrough price, no promotion and no member-only price beside it, so $379.99 was the single posted figure that day. If you have seen a different number for an 8 ft Costco olive, it is either out of date or one of the two 6.5 ft olives at $169.99.
Costco's artificial Christmas trees
We do not sell pre-lit Christmas trees, so we have nothing to sell you in this section. It is here because it is the other half of the question people are actually asking, and the prices are checkable. Twelve trees, read 13 October 2026.
| Tree | Item | Online price | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED | 1785067 | $1,799.99 | 15 ft |
| Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED | 1785052 | $1,199.99 | 12 ft |
| Pre-Lit Glitter Flocked Micro LED | 1851590 | $899.99 | 12 ft |
| Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED | 1785051 | $799.99 | 9 ft |
| Pre-Lit Slim Micro LED | 1785049 | $749.99 | 9 ft |
| Pre-Lit Glitter Flocked Micro LED | 1784942 | $599.99 | 9 ft |
| Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED, blue-gray | 1851665 | $579.99 | 7.5 ft |
| Pre-Lit Radiant Micro LED with Twinkle | 1739980 | $549.99 | 7.5 ft |
| Pre-Lit Slim Micro LED | 1784936 | $549.99 | 7.5 ft |
| Pre-Lit European Micro LED | 1784913 | $549.99 | 7.5 ft |
| Pre-Lit Glitter Flocked Micro LED | 1784931 | $429.99 | 7.5 ft |
| Potted Tree with LED Lights | 1851488 | $199.99 | 7 ft |
All the large trees are flagged Costco Direct and carried a stacking promotion that day: buy 2 or more Costco Direct items shipped to the same address and save an extra $100 at two items, rising to $400 at five or more. Promotions expire, so treat that one as dated rather than current.
One thing to watch when comparing: the 7.5 ft Glitter Flocked at $429.99 and the 7.5 ft Radiant at $449.99 in warehouse are both 7.5 ft pre-lit micro-LED trees under $450, so a source saying "a 7.5 ft micro-LED under $450" could mean either.
Membership, and what non-members pay
Read from Costco's own membership and help pages on 13 October 2026.
- Gold Star: $65 per year, plus applicable sales tax.
- Executive: $130 per year, plus applicable sales tax, marked Best Value and carrying a 2% annual reward.
You do not need a membership to buy online. Costco's help pages say plainly that non-members may order from the website, and separately that "If you are not a member, you will be charged a 5% surcharge over posted prices for members". So on the 8 ft olive at $379.99, Costco's published rule works out to roughly $399 before tax for a non-member. We did not start a checkout, so treat that as the published rule applied, not a figure we observed at the till.
Which means the honest comparison is this: a member pays $379.99 plus $65 a year, a non-member pays about $399 and nothing else. If you are buying one tree and nothing else, the membership does not pay for itself on that purchase alone. If you shop there anyway, it is already paid for.
Returns
Costco's published return policy leads with a "Risk-Free 100% Satisfaction Guarantee" and then lists its exceptions. We read the full exception list on 13 October 2026: electronics on 90 days, diamonds over 1 carat, cigarettes and alcohol, limited-life goods such as tires and batteries, custom and special-order items, airline and event tickets, precious metals, shop cards, and a few department-specific categories.
Artificial trees, Christmas trees, seasonal goods, home decor and plants appear nowhere in that list. On the published policy an artificial tree is returnable with no deadline, no restocking fee and no seasonal cut-off written into it. The only wrinkle on the tall trees is logistics rather than cost: an item delivered by freight is collected the same way it was delivered, and the carrier contacts you within 5 to 7 business days of the return being started. No fee is published for that.
That is a genuinely strong policy and it is the single best reason to buy a tree from Costco.
Where Costco is the better buy
Three situations, put plainly.
- You want a lit Christmas tree. We do not sell them. Costco does, from $199.99 to $1,799.99.
- You want to spend under $70. Their $36.99 tabletop cedar undercuts anything we sell. Above $70 we are competitive: our range opens at $72.99, with a 4.9 ft camellia tree and a pair of cypress at $86.99, against their $79.99 spiral boxwood and two cedars at $89.99.
- You want the return policy. No published deadline on an artificial tree is hard to beat, and worth real money on a large purchase you are unsure about.
Where we differ
Our own figures, read from our US storefront on 13 October 2026: 271 buyable options across 124 products, from $72.99 to $1,430.99, with free US shipping and delivery in 2 to 10 business days.
| Comparison | Costco (13 Oct 2026) | Eververda (13 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Olive trees | 3 products, $169.99 to $379.99 | 12 products, $159.99 to $743.99 |
| Palm trees | 1 product, $119.99 to $139.99 | 13 products, $123.99 to $816.99 |
| Fiddle leaf figs | 1 slim fig, $139.99 | 17 products, $181.99 to $582.99 |
| Tallest year-round tree | 8 ft | Trees listed to 8 ft and above, with larger sizes quoted |
| Lit Christmas trees | 12 products | None |
The difference that matters most is not price, because at the entry point we are within about $10 of each other on an olive. It is choice and placement. Costco carries one olive at 6.5 ft and one at 8 ft; we carry twelve olive products across a wider height range, and several of ours are listed for covered outdoor use where Costco's 8 ft olive is listed indoor only. If you want a specific height, a specific trunk, or a tree that can stand on a covered patio, that is where the range matters.
The reverse is also true and worth saying: if you want one good-looking 6.5 ft olive for a living room and nothing more specific, Costco's $169.99 is a sound buy and you do not need us.
What we could not check
We would rather tell you the edges of what we know than imply we checked more than we did.
- Whether the $449.99 warehouse price is national. It resolved against a Seattle warehouse and Costco says prices vary by warehouse.
- Warehouse prices for most of the Christmas range. We captured four.
- Pot diameter, canopy spread, packed weight and box dimensions on any Costco tree. Heights come from product titles.
- Material, fire rating or warranty on any Costco faux tree.
- Stock. Flags were Seattle-specific and change daily, so use the prices here rather than the availability.
- The business membership fee, which was not shown on any page we loaded.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Costco 8 ft olive tree?
$379.99 on 13 October 2026, item 1812703, online only, with shipping and handling included. It is listed for indoor use only and had 4.8 stars from 202 reviews. There was no member-only or promotional price beside it.
Why do I see two different Costco prices for the same tree?
Because Costco publishes both. The online price is national. The warehouse price is separate, usually lower, and varies by warehouse. On the 7.5 ft Radiant Micro LED the two were $549.99 and $449.99 on 13 October 2026, a $100 difference on one tree.
Can I buy from Costco without a membership?
Yes, online. Costco's help pages say non-members may order from the website and are charged a 5% surcharge over member prices. Gold Star membership was $65 a year and Executive $130 a year on 13 October 2026.
Can you return an artificial tree to Costco?
On the published policy, yes, with no published deadline. Artificial trees are not among the listed exceptions, which cover electronics, large diamonds, tobacco and alcohol, limited-life goods, custom orders, tickets, precious metals and shop cards. Freight-delivered items are collected the same way they were delivered.
Is Costco cheaper than a specialist artificial tree seller?
At the entry point the two are close. Costco's cheapest olive was $169.99 and ours was $159.99 on 13 October 2026. Costco is clearly cheaper at the very bottom of the range, where it sells a $36.99 tabletop cedar and we start at $72.99. A specialist is worth it when you need a particular height, trunk or placement rather than whichever single size is in the warehouse that season.
Does Costco sell artificial olive trees taller than 8 ft?
Not in the range we read on 13 October 2026. The 8 ft olive, item 1812703, was the tallest year-round faux tree Costco listed that day.
