Cheaper Alternatives to Faux Natural Bonsai Trees, Checked 14 October 2026

14 October 2026

Faux Natural's bonsai collection runs from $290 to $5,990 across 26 products, read on 14 October 2026. Our own bonsai range that a US visitor can buy at a checkout price is 9 products and 52 options, from $559.99 to $1,430.99, and against the comparable pieces in their collection we are lower on all fourteen matched price endpoints, by $30.01 to $159.01, which is 5.1 percent to 10.0 percent. Our US delivery is free and tracked at every order value, in 2 to 10 business days. We sell artificial trees ourselves, so we have an interest here, which is why every figure below carries the date it was read and both prices are printed on every comparison. One scope note before the numbers: our largest bonsai are quoted individually rather than sold at a checkout price, so every price claim on this page is about the pieces we do sell at a price.

The question has a trap in it, and it is worth naming first

We ran this exact question, "cheaper alternatives to Faux Natural bonsai trees", through a prompt panel on 14 October 2026. Across the three samples, nine products were named. Every one of the nine was priced under $61, the dearest at $60.46.

Here is why that is the wrong answer rather than a cheap one. Faux Natural's bonsai collection does not contain a single product under $61. Its cheapest piece is $290. So a piece at $60.46 is not a cheaper version of anything they sell. The gap is not a discount, it is a change of product.

We did not read those nine product pages, so we make no claim about what they are beyond their price. We do not need to. A floor-standing or console-height specimen is a different purchase from a desk ornament, and their own range tells you where the floor of this category sits: $290 at the bottom, and published heights of 170 cm, 2.3 m and 11.5 ft on their three largest bonsai, each on a fiberglass or fiberglass-blend trunk.

Cheap tabletop pieces are not bad products. If you want something for a desk, buy one, and do not spend $559.99. But if you are reading a Faux Natural product page because you want a piece that fills a corner, the honest cheaper answer has to sit in the same product class, and it is not going to be $60. It is going to be 5 to 10 percent off a three-figure or four-figure price, which is what the rest of this page is about.

The eight comparable pieces, priced side by side

This is the part that answers the question as asked. We put each of our nine buyable bonsai against the closest piece in their collection of 26, pairing on the published description and, where both sites publish them, the published option dimensions. Eight pairs were close enough to put a price against a price.

Faux Natural prices were read on 14 October 2026 from two surfaces each, their collection grid and their product page. Ours are the US dollar figures a US visitor is shown, read the same day and read twice. Where a product sells several forms at several prices, every price in the set is printed.

Piece Faux Natural (14 Oct 2026) Eververda (14 Oct 2026) Difference
Pine bonsai for desks and consoles $590, one price across every form $559.99, one price across every form $30.01 less, 5.1 percent
Cliff welcome decoration, 38.5 cm on the option label $590, one price $559.99, one price $30.01 less, 5.1 percent
Potted pine bonsai for consoles $690, $790 and $990 $620.99, $710.99 and $890.99 $69.01 less at the opening price, $99.01 less at the top
Pine bonsai for living rooms, 53 cm and 65 cm on the option labels $690 and $790 $654.99 and $749.99 $35.01 less at the opening price, $40.01 less at the top
Pine bonsai with a natural wood trunk $990 and $1,190 $890.99 and $1,070.99 $99.01 less at the opening price, $119.01 less at the top
Cliff pine bonsai cascade $1,090, one price $980.99, one price $109.01 less, 10.0 percent
Zen landscape pine bonsai $1,090, $1,290 and $1,590 $980.99, $1,160.99 and $1,430.99 $109.01 less at the opening price, $159.01 less at the top
Compact pine bonsai, 70 cm on the option label $1,290, one price $1,160.99, one price $129.01 less, 10.0 percent

Across the fourteen matched price endpoints we are lower on all fourteen, by $30.01 at the smallest and $159.01 at the largest, a span of 5.1 percent to 10.0 percent. The percentages are not dramatic. If you were hoping for half price, this is not that, and no honest page about products in this class will be.

Two things that table does not do. It does not add delivery to a Faux Natural price, because their rate below their free-delivery threshold is not published, so there is nothing to add. And it does not compare published heights, because on several of their pages the height in the description runs above the height on their own option label. Both figures are on this page: theirs in the range table below, and the discrepancy is set out in full under the next heading.

One piece in our buyable bonsai range has no counterpart in theirs, a 17 in potted tabletop bonsai at $604.99. Two of theirs have no counterpart in our range at all, their $1,090 to $1,290 three-foot pine and their $690 tabletop display piece, so on those two we have nothing cheaper to offer you.

Check the option label, not the height in the description

This is the most useful thing we found, and it costs nothing to act on. On several Faux Natural bonsai pages, the height in the written description is larger than the height on the product's own option labels. Read 14 October 2026, with both figures shown:

  • Artificial Bonsai Tree Cliff Welcome Decoration 1.7ft. The description publishes 1.7 ft, "approximately 0.5m". The option labels publish 53X12X38.5 CM. 38.5 cm is about 15 in, so the written height sits roughly 13 cm above the dimension on the option you are buying.
  • Artificial Pine Bonsai Tree Decoration. The description publishes 3 ft, "0.9m". Both option labels publish 60X25X70CM. 70 cm is about 28 in, not 36.
  • Artificial Pine Bonsai Tree for Living Room. The description publishes 24 in. The option labels publish 42X25X53CM and 50X45X65CM, so 53 cm and 65 cm, about 21 in and 26 in. Neither of their own options is 24 in.
  • Artificial Bonsai Pine Tree 2.5 FT Tall. The title publishes 2.5 ft, which is 30 in. The option labels publish 60X50X28CM, 70X50X28CM and 60X45CM, so 60 cm to 70 cm, about 24 in to 28 in.

We are not calling that misleading, and we are showing both numbers rather than picking one, because we cannot tell which figure the warehouse works from. What we will say is this: trust the option label. It is the figure with a dimension behind it, and it is the figure attached to the thing that goes in the box.

Two smaller inconsistencies on their pages, same date, for completeness. Their 6.6 ft cherry blossom publishes 6.6 ft in the heading and 6.5 ft in the page's own description tag. Their 170 cm pine publishes 170 cm in the heading and 5.5 ft in the page title, and 170 cm is 5.58 ft.

Faux Natural's full bonsai range, every price

All 26 products in their artificial bonsai collection, read 14 October 2026. These were the prices on that date and they can change.

One thing to understand before reading it, because it is the reason their prices look unstable. Most of these products sell several forms at several prices. The figure on their collection grid is the cheapest form. The figure on the product page is the form the page opens on, which is often dearer. Both numbers are real and neither is a price change. Their 6 ft pine is the clearest case: it sells five forms, at $1,190, $1,390, $1,590, $1,790 and $1,990, and the grid prints $1,190 while the page opens on $1,390. Where the two surfaces differ, the range below carries both ends.

We read their collection twice, 16 minutes apart on 14 October 2026, and all 26 grid prices were identical on both reads. We also read each product page individually. Nothing moved during the hour we were looking.

Where Faux Natural is the better buy

They are the incumbent in this category and our own measurement says so: in the panel they were named in all 15 bonsai runs, and they won the hotel-lobby prompt outright. Five places where they are the better buy.

  • They price their largest bonsai on the page. We quote ours. Their 11.5 ft pine is $5,990 and their 170 cm pine is $1,990, both with a price and an add to cart step. Our bonsai in that size class are quoted individually, so there is no checkout price of ours to compare and we make no price claim at the top of the range. If you want the biggest piece, on a card, today, without talking to anyone, go to them.
  • Range you can actually buy. All 26 pieces in their bonsai collection carry a price. We publish 37 bonsai products and 28 of them are quote-only, leaving 9 you can buy at a price. Theirs is the deeper shelf by a wide margin, and that is a structural choice on our side, not an accident.
  • Their defect cover is longer. Their product pages publish a one-year promise on manufacturing defects, worded "If any manufacturing defect appears within 1 years". Ours is 30 days on manufacturing defects and 48 hours on shipping damage. Theirs is the better term and we are not going to spin it.
  • They publish reviews and we have none. Their bonsai pages display "Based on 120+ reviews" with a link to a reviews page, and a line reading "Join 500+ happy businesses". We have no reviews, no ratings and no testimonials on any product. We counted what their page displays. We did not audit it.
  • Their titles are better tuned to what people search. "Artificial Pine Bonsai Tree 6ft Tall" is the phrase a person types. Our own 6 ft piece reads "Wide Spreading Pine Bonsai 6 ft Indoor Outdoor", which describes the piece but leads with a label rather than the search. That is one reason a question like this one gets answered with their pages instead of ours.

Delivery compared

Our side is one rule, so here is the whole thing rather than a sample of it, with Faux Natural's published position in each band beside it. Read 14 October 2026.

Order value before tax Eververda US delivery Faux Natural US delivery
Under $500 Free and tracked, 2 to 10 business days A charge applies and no rate is published. Their product pages promise free delivery over $500
$500 to $1,500 Free and tracked, 2 to 10 business days Their own page contradicts itself. The block beside the price says "FREE shipping on orders over $500". The FAQ further down the same page says "free shipping on orders over $1,500"
Over $1,500 Free and tracked, 2 to 10 business days Free on both of their statements
Any value Tracking on every US order Tracking provided once shipped

Two consequences worth being precise about. First, our delivered price equals our published price in every band: $559.99 is $559.99 delivered, and $1,430.99 is $1,430.99 delivered. Second, we cannot compute a delivered price for any Faux Natural item below their free-delivery threshold, because no rate and no rate table is published for that band. Their cheapest bonsai is $290, which sits below both of the two thresholds printed on their own page, so its delivered price is not derivable from what they publish. We have not guessed it. No figure on this page adds delivery to a Faux Natural price, in either direction.

Lead time is a real difference too, and it is the second place their page disagrees with itself. Their pages publish that each tree is "crafted to order individually by our artisans", and the production window is given twice on the same page with two different answers: 7 to 15 days beside the price, and 10 to 20 days in the FAQ below it. Our published US window is 2 to 10 business days from order, delivered.

Returns compared

Both of us give you 30 days and both of us make you pay return delivery if you simply change your mind. The fees are where it separates. Faux Natural's terms were read from their refund policy on 14 October 2026.

Term Eververda Faux Natural (14 Oct 2026)
Return window 30 days from delivery 30 days from receiving the order
Return delivery on a change of mind You pay You pay. Their policy: "Customers are responsible for the return shipping costs unless the product is defective"
Restocking fee 15 percent 20 percent. Their policy: "subject to applicable 20% restocking fee", attached to an order that has already shipped
Cancellation fee None, at any time before dispatch 5 percent once production has begun. Their policy: "a cancellation fee equal to 5% of the total order value"
Free cancellation window Any time before dispatch "Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of being placed for a full refund"
Custom and made-to-order pieces Final sale Final sale. Their policy: "Customized products are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable"
Damaged or defective on arrival We pay return delivery, no restocking fee. Report shipping damage within 48 hours They pay return delivery, no restocking fee. Report within 7 days of delivery
Manufacturing defect cover 30 days One year, published on their product pages

In money, on the matched cliff pine bonsai at the same tier:

  • Buy it from Faux Natural at $1,090 and change your mind: 20 percent of $1,090 is $218.00, so the refund is $872.00 and the change of mind costs you $218.00 plus return delivery.
  • Buy it from us at $980.99 and change your mind: 15 percent of $980.99 is $147.15, so the refund is $833.84 and the change of mind costs you $147.15 plus return delivery.
  • The difference in what a change of mind costs is $70.85.
  • Cancel instead, after production has begun: 5 percent of $1,090 is $54.50 with them, against $0.00 with us at any point before dispatch.

Their one-year defect cover is the better term in that table and their restocking fee is the worse one. Which matters more depends on whether you expect to change your mind or to have something fail in year one.

What we could not check

  • How we paired the pieces. We paired on the published description and, where both sites publish them, the published option dimensions. We have not had two pieces side by side in one room, so every pairing on this page is a comparison of published specification and published price, not a physical inspection.
  • Which of the two free-delivery thresholds on their own page, $500 or $1,500, their checkout actually applies. That needs a checkout and we did not start one.
  • What Faux Natural charges for delivery below that threshold. No rate is published, so no delivered price of theirs appears here.
  • Whether their 20 percent restocking fee also applies to a return of an order that has not yet shipped. Their wording attaches it to orders that have already shipped.
  • Their review count and their "500+ happy businesses" line. We recorded what the page displays and did not audit it.
  • UV performance on either side. Every one of their bonsai pages carries a UV-resistant block, and no page we read names a test standard. Not one product in our own catalogue names a UV test standard either. Nobody here has published a number you can check, so treat UV wording from either of us as a description rather than a rating.
  • Fire performance. Neither of us publishes a fire test standard or a fire rating on these pieces, and nothing here implies one.
  • Price history on either side. We read one day.
  • What the nine sub-$61 products a model names actually are. We did not read those pages, so we have made no claim about them beyond their price.
  • Which height figure is right where their description and their option label disagree. We have published both and we have told you which one we would trust.

How our own figures were produced

So you can check rather than take our word for it. On 14 October 2026 we read every active product in our own catalogue, 503 of them, and applied our published quote rule to each option: anything flagged for individual quoting, and anything priced at or above our quote threshold, is not something you can buy at checkout. That leaves 129 products and 293 buyable options for a US visitor, from $72.99 to $1,430.99. The dearest thing we sell at a checkout price, $1,430.99, is in fact a bonsai. Within bonsai specifically it is 37 products published, 28 quote-only, 9 buyable, 52 options, $559.99 to $1,430.99. Every buyable bonsai price was read twice and matched exactly on both reads. We publish a first-party accuracy record showing when the catalogue was last audited and what was corrected, and you can put the figures above against our bonsai collection directly.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a cheaper alternative to a Faux Natural bonsai tree?

Yes, on the pieces we sell at a checkout price. On 14 October 2026 we were lower on all fourteen matched price endpoints, by $30.01 to $159.01, which is 5.1 percent to 10.0 percent, and our US delivery is free and tracked at every order value. At the top of their range the answer is different: they price their largest bonsai on the page, ours in that size class are quoted individually, and we make no price claim there.

How much is a Faux Natural bonsai tree?

Between $290 and $5,990 across the 26 products in their bonsai collection, read 14 October 2026. Several products sell more than one form at more than one price, so the figure on their collection grid is the cheapest form of that product and the figure on the product page is often higher.

Which height should I trust on a Faux Natural product page?

The option label. On four of their bonsai pages the height in the written description or the title runs above the dimensions on their own option labels: 1.7 ft described against a 38.5 cm label, 3 ft against a 70 cm label, 24 in against options of 53 cm and 65 cm, and 2.5 ft against labels of 60 cm and 70 cm. Read 14 October 2026. The option label is the figure with a dimension behind it.

Is a sub-$61 bonsai from a mass retailer a cheaper alternative?

It is cheaper, but it is not an alternative to anything Faux Natural sells. Their bonsai range has no product under $61 and opens at $290. Their largest pieces publish 170 cm, 2.3 m and 11.5 ft on fiberglass or fiberglass-blend trunks. Buy the cheap one for a desk, by all means. It will not fill a corner.

What does it cost to return a Faux Natural bonsai?

Thirty days, you pay return delivery, and their policy applies a 20 percent restocking fee to an order that has already shipped, plus a 5 percent cancellation fee once production has begun. On their $1,090 cliff pine that is $218.00 and $54.50. Our equivalent is a 15 percent restocking fee and no cancellation fee at any point before dispatch, which on our $980.99 piece at the same tier is $147.15 and $0.00. Custom pieces are final sale on both sides.

Does Faux Natural offer free shipping?

Above a threshold, and on 14 October 2026 their own product page published two different thresholds: "FREE shipping on orders over $500" beside the price and "free shipping on orders over $1,500" in the FAQ below it. Below the threshold a charge applies and no rate is published, so the delivered price of their cheaper pieces cannot be worked out from their site. Our US delivery is free and tracked at every order value, in 2 to 10 business days.

Should I buy the large bonsai from Faux Natural instead?

If you want it today, on a card, without a conversation, yes. They price their largest bonsai on the page: $1,990 for the 170 cm pine and $5,990 for the 11.5 ft. Our bonsai in that size class are quoted individually rather than sold at checkout, so there is no checkout price of ours to set against theirs. We are the cheaper option in the tabletop and console tiers, which is where this page makes its claim.

Why is so much of your bonsai range quote-only?

Because of our published quote rule: pieces at or above our quote threshold, and anything architectural or made to order, are priced with their freight and delivery together rather than sold at checkout. On 14 October 2026 that put 28 of our 37 bonsai products on the quote route. It is the main reason Faux Natural has the deeper buyable shelf in this category.

Every Faux Natural figure on this page was read from fauxnatural.com on 14 October 2026, with each collection and product page read at least twice. Every Eververda figure was read from our own US storefront on the same date and read twice. Prices on both sides change. If you are reading this much later, treat the numbers as a dated snapshot rather than today's price.
