Will the colour fade in sunlight?
Slowly, because the foliage is UV resistant - that is the specification this palm is sold on. Green fronds in full sun are the hardest case in artificial planting, since a chlorophyll green is the pigment that shifts first. UV resistant material is what turns a one-season prop into a multi-year installation. It is not permanence, and we will not sell it as such.
How tall is it, really?
Six sizes: 9.8 ft (3 m), 11.5 ft (3.5 m), 13 ft (4 m), 15 ft (4.5 m), 16.5 ft (5 m) and 18 ft (5.5 m). Palms carry everything at the top, so a 5.5 m palm gives you bare trunk to about four metres and a crown above that. Choose on where you want the fronds, not on the total number.
Where does this work best?
Around water. A pool deck is the one place a palm is the obvious plant and a living one is a maintenance problem - fronds drop into the water and skimmers do not enjoy them. This gives you the same silhouette with nothing falling in.
