How does it arrive, and how much shaping does it need?
Foliage clusters are compressed for shipping and want teasing apart by hand. Start at the base of each stem and fan the leaf groups outward until the light passes through them; a Pieris that looks flat is nearly always an unfanned one.
Does it need any maintenance?
Dust it, and rotate it if one side faces a window. There is no watering and no leaf drop - a live Pieris is fussy about soil acidity and will brown off in a dry lobby within weeks, which is the whole reason this version exists.
