Work from the lowest branches upward, pull each stem away from its neighbour, and give the leaves individual angles rather than a uniform fan. At 8 ft, a two-person lift is worth planning for when the box arrives — a tree this tall and this heavy in the trunk is awkward for one person to manoeuvre through a doorway safely.
