The honest case for a real cherry tree is that its scarcity is the point — hanami exists as a tradition precisely because the bloom doesn't last. If a permanent pink tree indoors is what you actually want, the fleeting week isn't something this product is trying to replace.

Why don't real cherry blossom trees stay in bloom?

A cherry tree's flowers open over a short, weather-triggered window — typically one to two weeks — before the petals drop and the tree spends the rest of the year as plain green foliage. That short window is the entire cultural reason hanami, the Japanese custom of viewing cherry blossoms, exists: the bloom is deliberately brief and people plan trips around catching it. An artificial cherry blossom tree exists because most buyers want the look of that week without waiting fifty-one weeks a year for it, since a real one grows to 15 to 25 feet outdoors and can't be kept indoors.

Why choose the double-pole 5 ft version over the single-pole one?

It adds a second support pole for extra stability. If that matters more to you than the plainer single-pole build, the double-pole version is the one to choose.
