How tall is it, really?
Three sizes: 160 cm (5.2 ft), 165 cm (5.4 ft) and 220 cm (7.2 ft). The first two are within 5 cm of each other, so treat them as one option. The real decision is between roughly five feet and roughly seven, and the seven-foot version is a substantial object that needs floor space around it.
Is it safe around children and pets?
This is one of the few cases where the artificial version is meaningfully safer than the living one, because there are no spines. PU is a soft-skinned material with a little give, so a child walking into it comes off better than they would against a real cactus. It is still a tall object, so make sure the base is stable.
Where does this work best?
In rooms with strong architecture and little decoration. A cactus is a single clean shape, which is why it suits concrete, plaster and dark timber, and why it fails in a room that already has a lot going on. Light it from the side and it throws its own outline onto the wall.
