How tall is it, really?

Between 2.5 m and 5.5 m across seven steps. For poolside planting the 3.5 m and 4 m sizes tend to be the useful ones: tall enough to break the skyline from a lounger, short enough not to dominate a small deck.

Does it need any maintenance?

Rinse the fronds when they get dusty and check the base fixing after high wind. There is no trimming, no feeding and no frond drop - which is the practical reason resorts specify artificial palms around water.
